Out Now with Aaron and Abe – Episode 18: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
This week's episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is full of all kinds of wizardry, as Aaron and Abe discuss Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. The eighth and final part of this massive franchise that has spanned a decade has finally arrived in film form, and of course Aaron and Abe are up to the task of speaking at length about the film. Joining the duo for this discussion is film critic and box office pundit of sorts, Scott Mendelson (Mendelson's Memos and The Huffington Post), who helps to provide some interesting thoughts on the film, the franchise, and even a lengthier than average take on the box office results. Of course the episode still contains its other regular segments as well, including trailer talk, where the group discusses the new trailers for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and The Dark Knight Rises. They also follow up with box office talk, retro reviews, and game time. The whole show is pretty much devoted to Harry Potter, with perspectives from both readers and non-readers of the original books. Episode 17: Transformers – Dark of the Moon
This week on Out Now with Aaron and Abe, the boys delve into the Giant ‘Effin Robots movie that the world has been waiting for. Of course this is in reference to Michael “Boom Boom” Bay’s newest film, Transformers:Dark of the Moon. This is the third film in the Transformers franchise and do to the epic scale of this feature, Aaron and Abe get help from returning guests, Alan Aguilera and Jordan Grout (Damn Dirty Blog). Between these four, almost everything related to this Michael Bay franchise is covered. Naturally, the regular segments of Out Now are still a part of the show; trailers are covered (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocoland War Horse), box office results and predictions are spoken of, retro reviews lead to more giant robot and explosions discussion, and then some fun games are played as well. Episode 16: Cars 2
The summer film season continues as this week’s episode of Out Now has Aaronand Abe discussing the newest Pixar film, Cars 2, with the help of the newest friend of the show, Leah Ducey (http://leahduce.tumblr.com). Out Now with Aaron and Abe Episode 14: Super 8
This week's episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe has the hosts discussing the new J.J. Abrams directed film, Super 8. This is following the previous episode which broke traditional episode structure and served as more of a special episode all about The Tree of Life. Now, the boys are back, and keeping with the recent style of having special guests featured in each new podcast episode, Aaron and Abe have also brought along fellow cinephile and self-proclaimed comic geek Alan Aguilera (twitter.com/mrdvd) to help review the film and participate in the fun and games that occur on a weekly basis. Following the landmark that was our tenth episode, Out Now returns with episode 11, Kung Fu Panda 2. Abe and I bring in the big guns for this week's podcast, because not only do we have in store not one, but two podcasts coming out this week; but both this episode and the next episode (The Hangover Part II) will feature a guest. That's right, in an effort to liven things up, Abe and I recruited a good friend, Jordan Grout, to help us with the show. Quite the upgrade indeed, bringing a new dynamic to our fun and games. Or course, along with a review of Kung Fu Panda 2, the regular schedule does occur, which includes some trailer discussion (The Muppets and Puss in Boots); a tease about the box office, as official results were not in yet at the time; a retro review that basically covers DreamWorks Animation, and some games, which includes a new version of one of our favorite games.

Out Now Special: Horrible Bosses and 2011's R-rated Comedies
This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is jam packed with both guests and movies. Rather than just do a regular episode about the big new release of the week, Horrible Bosses, Aaron and Abe have decided to discuss all of the R-rated comedies that have come out so far this year, along with some of the upcoming ones as well. This episode does start off with a review of Horrible Bosses, which is followed by a lengthy segment that recaps all of the other R-rated comedies of 2011. To help Aaron and Abe, three guests join the duo in their discussion. These guests include past favorites (right?) Mark Hobin (fastfilmreviews.wordpress.com) and Jordan Grout (damndirtyblog.blogspot.com), along with newcomer Mark Johnson (awardcontenders.com), who all lend their 2 cents for many of the comedies discussed. Episode 15: Green Lantern
This week’s episode of Out Now has Aaron and Abe recruiting two more voices to their briefly lived Out Now Podcast Corps., as the main film to be reviewed is Green Lantern, starring Ryan Reynolds and directed by Martin Campbell (GoldenEye and Casino Royale). Yes, in addition to the presence of Aaron and Abe, past guests Mark Hobin (FastFilm Reviews) and Jordan Grout (Damn Dirty Blog) have returned to help critique this latest superhero blockbuster. And now for something completely different. This is another landmark for Out Now with Aaron and Abe, as it is both the first episode to not feature the show’s regular co-host, Abe, and also an episode that breaks the regular format of the standard episode. Hence, this episode has been dubbed “Also Out”, which has Aaron (and hopefully Abe, in the future) discussing a worthwhile film that is also in theaters at great length with a number of other guests. For this inaugural episode (and hopefully the first of more like it), the film under discussion is Terrance Malick’s latest feature, The Tree of Life. Guests for the episode include former guest Jordan Grout, along with Adam Gentry (http://everythingyoualwayswantedtoknow.blogspot.com/) and Mark Hobin (http://fastfilmreviews.wordpress.com/). This episode does focus entirely on the film The Tree of Life, which includes spoilers for the film as a whole (even though the film does not really feature much narrative that could be ruined by spoilers). It will be curious to hear what the response is to an episode like this, as it is incredibly focused on one subject and discussed for quite a long period of time. Yep, Episode 12 of Out Now has arrived in speedy succession. Since I can only assume that episode 11 was a massive hit in advance, it is being justly rewarded with another episode, given the busy nature of this past Memorial Day. So The Hangover Part II is the subject of this latest episode and in it, Abe and I bring back our first guest and friend of the podcast, Jordan Grout to once again delve into the a film review and other activities with us. As always, the regularly scheduled programming includes the review of the film, along with some trailer talk (The Change-Up and Crazy, Stupid, Love), box office results and predictions, a trio of retro reviews, and some fun and games. It is a momentous occasion, as Abe and I have reached our monumental 10th episode! Prepare for maximum momentary amazing. And now, with all alliteration aside, this episode is very pirate-y indeed, as Abe and I discuss the latest installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise - On Stranger Tides.
